I’m an electrical engineer who found my way into guitar effects design through curiosity, experimentation, and a desire to make sounds that don’t already exist.

AJG Devices uses unconventional circuits and unusual signal paths to create effects with their own character, rather than simply recreating familiar sounds.

Experimentation, evaluation, and iteration are central to the design process. The engineering notes library gives a behind the scenes look into key parts of that process.

Quality assurance is handled by my cat, Scallions, who supervises from the workbench, verifies gravitational continuity, and occasionally interferes with production.
